Like metal and food sector; chemical is one of the most basic and essential sectors for any economically developing nations. At present; Uganda is majorly dependent on India and China for its chemical requirements and thus spends a large amount of foreign reserve on the importation of various industrial as well as domestically consumed chemical products. MMP group through their chemical manufacturing business locally; want to reduce the dollar expenditure on some of the basic chemical compounds which are high in demand and can be produced locally such as sodium silicate and various Agro chemicals.

Sodium Silicate

Sodium Silicate is a chemical compound which is generally colourless or transparent or white in colour and available in solid or powder forms. Depending upon the application; sodium silicate is produced in various grades and specifications. The key applications of Sodium Silicate are in the cosmetics manufacturing, food preservation, water treatment, construction sector, FMCG products manufacturing, automotive and metal repairing works and sand casting. We pioneered the industrial production of sodium silicate in the country in 2008 and we are one of the leading production companies of the same in Uganda.

Agro Chemicals

Agriculture is the largest employment generating sector in Uganda which is also one of the major contributors to the GDP of the nation. With the availability of such large farming land; it is the core business for many individuals and families within the country. Agriculture produce are also one of the major Forex earning exports for Uganda and due to this – it is one of the focus sectors for the country. With the technical upgradation in agriculture; the need for good quality Agro chemical manufacturing has always been there. MMP Group has recently put up a large-scale manufacturing set up for producing high quality Pesticides, Herbicides & Insecticides. Our locally manufactured Agro chemical products will definitely be more affordable for the people of Uganda compared to the imported ones and we will make sure that Uganda does not face shortage of any of these important Agro chemicals in the future.

We are Uganda’s first and only company in the field of Agro Chemicals manufacturing. We aim to grow our reach to all the surrounding countries who are dependant on imported Agro chemicals for their agricultural uses and help them save their foreign exchange outflows in the future.
